We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our client's personal tax service line, focusing on the agricultural sector. The Personal Tax team works with over 2000 clients, including individuals, partnerships, LLPs, and trusts, delivering traditional compliance work and advisory projects across all taxes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take full responsibility for an interesting and diverse portfolio of tax returns, including HNWs, director/shareholders, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Supervise and train an assistant, supporting clients with technical and procedural queries, HMRC tax enquiries, and disclosures.
  • Participate in tax advisory projects, including capital tax planning, pension planning, and profit extraction.
  • Contribute to the management of the firm's overall personal tax compliance service, identifying efficiencies and introducing new processes and technologies.
Requirements:
  • ATT or CTA qualified
  • At least 2 years' experience in a personal tax compliance role at manager level
  • An interest in, and experience of, working with clients in the agricultural sector
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • An interest in developing and coaching junior staff and secondees
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to self-manage
  • Willingness to research technical issues and ability to problem solve
