Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Applications Engineer to join our team in Stevenage. As a key member of our Systems Engineering and Design Capability department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our systems engineering toolset, ensuring seamless integration and efficient use of IBM's Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client software version management – IBM's Rhapsody, EWM Eclipse Client, ELO-MEC, DOORS Classic, ELO-PUB.
  2. Manage project dependencies on specific versions.
  3. Move projects to the latest version.
  4. Client software packaging instructions, coordination with packaging team.
  5. Windows 11 test campaign management.
  6. Security vulnerability – working with IM and 3rd party IT Contractors to monitor and rectify.
  7. Application function bud assessment and manufacture resolution (patch) monitoring.
  8. Support IM in upgrade of Servers.
  9. DOORS Server and Client side management and maintenance.
  10. ALM upgrade UAT campaign management.
  11. Supporting IM with ALM token management and user monitoring.
  12. Grid Computing Facility (a High Power Computer) user support, compute node admin, working with IM and 3rd parties (Fujitsu, Wintel, Vodafone, etc) on head node support.
  13. Management and retirement of legacy applications.
  14. ALM-PLM digital continuity adapter management & upgrades.

Requirements: Experience in the practical use of IBM toolset (Rhapsody, DOORS Classic, IBM ELM (ALM)) is highly desirable. You should be eager to enhance your skills in Systems Engineering application management as the underpinning infrastructure and architectures evolve towards web based technologies. You should also have a passion to explore and exploit emerging technologies and their utilisation within the systems engineering application environment.
