About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team at Brent Council-Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing refurbishment and planned works, overseeing contractors, consultants, and other agencies to meet the Council's objectives and affordability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract management of refurbishment and planned works
  • Overseeing contractors, consultants, and other agencies
  • Ensuring quality and compliance with statutory approvals and health and safety regulations
  • Comprehensive budget management, including financial reports and cash flow projections
  • Managing assigned projects or programs to deliver expected standards
  • Providing expert building surveying and technical advice to stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with providers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Driving service improvements through performance indicators, monitoring service delivery, and implementing enhancements
  • Acting as the Principal Designer to coordinate health and safety on all projects

Requirements:

  • Education to ONC level and membership of CIOB or equivalent relevant experience
  • PRINCE2 certification or relevant project management qualification
  • Experience of building surveying in the Housing or Property Sector, managing refurbishment contracts and programs, and monitoring risks relating to contracting and developing mitigation plans
  • Budgeting and financial management skills, with a comprehensive knowledge of M&E, building construction, maintenance techniques, and building contract law
  • Ability to diagnose building defects and specify remedial measures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders
