About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Heol Don Care Home in Cardiff. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, assisting our chefs with meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the chefs with meal preparation, including plating meals and preparing food trolleys
  • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Monitor stock rotation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with catering for special events, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for food and previous experience working in a kitchen
  • A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others

What We Offer:

  • An estimated salary of £11.80 per hour, paid weekly
  • 40 hours per week, 8am - 4pm or 8am - 6pm, alternate weekends
