Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Teledyne UK Limited. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of our electronic products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues on the production line, from component-level fault finding to structured analysis to identify longer-term production and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply teams to drive technical issues to root cause and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Document and report faults with customer-owned products, implementing improvements to solve documented faults.
  • Provide technical input to the manufacturing process at all stages, ensuring continuous improvements in manufacturing cost and ease of manufacture.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions, configuration control documents, and product manufacturing standard times.
  • Support new product development by analyzing designs to ensure DFM and DFA criteria are met, and managing the NPI process.
  • Manage the introduction of new parts and tools into the manufacturing environment, controlling the execution of manufacturing change from concept to production acceptance.
  • Support a rigorous safety culture, conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments as required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in an engineering function in support of electronics manufacturing.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics test and manufacturing engineering.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the business and influence a range of audiences.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical manufacturing philosophies, including DFM and DFA.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce concise reports and effective presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team to tight deadlines.

Technical Requirements

  • Electronics knowledge, including fault finding to component level.
  • Knowledge of electrical and RF test techniques.
  • Problem-solving experience, including 8D, A3, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Understanding of SPC data and calculations.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be capable of obtaining SC Security Clearance.
