Role: Fitness Manager

As a Fitness Manager with The Gym Group, you will play a key role in the successful running of the gym. You will be responsible for leading the in-gym service offering, driving member satisfaction scores forward, and line managing a team of fitness trainers. You will embody the company values, supporting and encouraging others to do the same.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the in-gym service offering to drive member satisfaction scores forward.
  • Line managing a team of fitness trainers, engaging and motivating them to be their best every day.
  • Developing the group exercise offering, including creating the class timetable and upskilling the team to deliver.
  • Driving the commercial performance of the gym with a result-driven mindset.
  • Ensuring high operational standards on site, including managing cleaning and maintenance check procedures and liaising with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Ensuring full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and completing daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
  • Supporting the General Manager with onsite admin tasks, including rotas, time tracking, and security checks.
  • Acting as a keyholder for the gym in support of the General Manager, being a point of call in emergencies.

  • Have a proven track record of success and are eager to bring that winning attitude to The Gym.
  • Are a Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or are currently studying for the qualification.
