Job Overview
    We are seeking an experienced Highway Development Specialist to join our dynamic team at Matchtech. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in facilitating sustainable economic development through effective highway development management and planning.

Responsibilities
    The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and commenting on highway matters associated with new planning applications, engaging in pre-application discussions with Planning Officers, developers, consultants, and District Councils, and providing Highways Development Management (HDM) advice on Transportation Assessments, Transportation Statements, and Travel Plans. You will also assess documents submitted in support of planning applications, prepare recommendations on highways and transport issues within agreed timelines, and represent the Highways Authority at Planning Committee meetings and stakeholder engagements.

Requirements
    To be considered for this position, you must have experience in highway development management and planning, a strong understanding of transportation assessments, transportation statements, and travel plans, and excellent report-writing and presentation skills. You should also be proficient in providing highways and transport advice and recommendations, and have experience in attending and representing at Planning Committee meetings and stakeholder engagements. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of Customer Care, Equal Opportunities, Information Governance, Data Protection, and Health and Safety policies and procedures. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about contributing to impactful projects within the highways and transport sectors.

Salary and Benefits
    We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement.
