Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Director to join our client's team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational leadership for all logistics and warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Commercial Responsibility & Budget Management: Manage the operational budget, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining high service standards.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Supplier Relationships: Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and third-party service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, MBA or Advanced Degree – Advantageous
- Proven experience in operational leadership positions within the FMCG retail industry, with a minimum of 15 years of progressive responsibility – Essential
- Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market
- An individual truly excited by large-scale growth challenges
