About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant GI Radiologist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.

As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients across the Plymouth region.

The successful candidate will complement our existing team of consultant radiologists, working together to provide comprehensive diagnostic radiology services, including specialist abdominal imaging and general radiology services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality reports and images for a wide range of clinical specialties, including hepatology, hepatobiliary, complex renal, bladder, and prostate cancer.
  • Participate in clinical-radiological meetings and on-call services for diagnostic radiology.
  • Contribute to audit, teaching, research, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with junior colleagues through teaching and supervisory roles.

Our radiology department is a large teaching department responsible for specialist registrar training, with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including six CT scanners, five MRI scanners, and 18 ultrasound rooms.

Requirements

  • Fellowship Royal College of Radiologists (or equivalent).
  • CCT in radiology and entry on Specialist Register (or expected within 6 months of interview).
  • Full GMC registration.
  • Broad skills in general and cross-sectional imaging, including acute imaging services.
