Job Summary:

The Lancashire Care Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Practitioner to join our Offender Personality Disorder Service. As a Specialist Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing a consultation, formulation, and risk management service to individuals with personality disorders and other co-morbid conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a consultation service to Offender Managers and Approved Premise staff within local probation sites for clients assessed as high risk and presenting with traits or a diagnosis of personality disorder and other co-morbid conditions.
  • Develop and lead the production of clinical or risk formulations alongside Offender Managers.
  • Support the identification of individuals on probation who may be suitable for the Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (IIRMS) and engage in joint working to develop formulations and guide IIRMS interventions.
  • Provide group and psychological interventions and support the provision of group reflective practice to approved premises and probation teams across the local delivery units.
  • Travel to various bases across the county to provide services, with the increasing use of technology to engage with colleagues reducing the need for frequent travel.

Requirements:

  • Band 7 Specialist Practitioner with experience in working with individuals with personality disorders and other co-morbid conditions.
  • Strong clinical and risk management skills, with the ability to develop and lead the production of clinical or risk formulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Offender Managers, Approved Premise staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to various bases across the county, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
