An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and caring individual to join our ophthalmic team as an Ophthalmic Care Assistant. Based in Dartford, this role will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cataract surgery.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Pre-operative testing: conducting tests prior to examination and treatment, assisting during consent appointments, and providing essential information to patients.
  • Patient discharging: instructing patients on post-procedure care, updating medical records, and making follow-up appointments.
  • Coordinating patient flow: controlling waiting times and managing queries to ensure efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, adaptability, and a flexible approach to work. A valid UK driving license and own car are also essential requirements for this position.

We offer a competitive salary of £24,000 per annum, no night shifts, and a state-of-the-art working environment. Additional benefits include free laser eye surgery, intraocular lens surgery, and discounted prescription eyewear.
