Assistant Financial Administrator Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Administrator to join our Finance Team and support the wider business. As an Assistant Financial Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Head of Finance in achieving business objectives.


About the Role:
  • Maintain financial records: Accurately record and manage financial transactions, including bank payments, receipts, and purchase invoices.
  • Support financial operations: Assist with daily financial tasks, including processing transactions and managing financial records.
  • Prepare Sales Invoices: Ensure timely posting and raising of Sales Invoices to maintain effective cash flow.
  • Assist with planning and budgeting: Provide input into business plans and budgets to support the company's growth.
  • Calculate accruals and prepayments: Accurately record and calculate accruals and prepayments to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Submit VAT returns: Ensure compliance by submitting monthly VAT returns on time.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers: Keep up-to-date information on fixed assets to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts: Develop a monthly cash flow forecast to help make informed business decisions.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Sage accounting software is required.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, are essential.
  • A self-motivated and highly organized individual with strong timekeeping and reliability skills is required.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position based in Sherwood, Nottingham. We consider both full-time (37.5 hours) and part-time (30 hours) applications, as well as school hour options.

Estimated Salary: £30,000 per annum.
