Lead Cost Manager

beBee Professionals is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our construction team in Carlisle, United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost estimation and budgeting strategies for construction projects.
- Manage project cash flows and budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring project targets are met.
- Identify and assess commercial risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
- Full UK driving license.
