Job Title: Safety Requirements Manager

Location: Various locations across the UK, with flexible working arrangements available.

Salary: Up to £61,500 per annum, dependent on experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Requirements Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Dreadnought Combat Systems Safety Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing safety requirements for complex sub-systems that will form the combat system of a submarine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing safety requirements that filter down from whole boat into combat systems
  • Recording safety requirements in DOORS
  • Delivering reports to Senior Engineering Manager on safety requirements process
  • Liaising with Subsystems, Safety Team, and Suppliers on safety requirements
  • Providing specialist support to Safety Team/Subsystems on gap analysis between formal and assumptive safety requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience using DOORS
  • Safety requirements management experience, with recent experience managing requirements up and down the V cycle
  • Degree or relevant level of experience in requirements management
  • Defence contract experience
  • Excellent communication and collaborative engagement skills
