About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team as a Deputy Team Manager. As a Deputy Team Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Team Manager in the management of the team, including decision-making, risk assessment, and line management of a small team of advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team Manager in the management of the team, including decision-making and risk assessment
  • Line manage a small team of advisors
  • Work closely with colleagues from other organisations in the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub
  • Advise on a range of referrals, from Early Help Services to safeguarding referrals
  • Participate in MASH arrangements as the social care representative

Requirements:

  • Social work qualification and SW England registration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding practice and process
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multi-agency partners, universal and specialist services
  • Good team work skills and capacity to work under pressure
