We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Energy Helper to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a Business Energy Helper, you will play a key role in helping small businesses switch to Octopus Energy Business and providing them with excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with businesses: You will be responsible for communicating with small business owners and decision makers to explain the benefits of renewable energy and help them switch to Octopus Energy Business.
  • Provide excellent customer experience: You will work to ensure that every business you speak to has a positive experience with Octopus Energy Business, regardless of whether they switch.
  • Engage with customers: You will engage with customers through various channels, including in-person visits, events, and conferences.
  • Collect customer feedback: You will collect feedback from customers to help us build new tariffs, launch new initiatives, and make changes to our existing tariffs.
  • Enhance customer experience: You will have the tools to chat with customers about domestic energy, solar, heat pumps, and other additional services.
Requirements
  • Self-motivation and autonomy: You will work in small teams, but at times you will work independently, so you must be able to self-motivate and be confident working on your own.
  • Honest and hardworking approach: You will need to have a honest and hardworking approach to each day, as our teams all love helping customers and each other.
  • Previous experience: Previous experience in a B2B role or in the energy industry would be advantageous, although not essential.
  • Understanding of the business sales cycle: You will need to have an understanding of the business sales cycle, including diary planning and pipeline management.
  • Team player: You will be part of a caring team who like to keep in touch with each other, so you must be able to work well in a team.
  • Appetite to learn: You will need to have an appetite to learn new things and work with some really switched on people.
