Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material Handling Equipment Trainer to join our team at MM Flowers. As a key member of our Training Team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs for various types of material handling equipment (MHE) to our on-site operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Create and implement training programs for MHE operators, ensuring they meet industry standards and company policies.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver both classroom and hands-on training sessions to certify employees in the safe operation of MHE and pre-use checks.
  • Assess and Evaluate Trainees: Assess and evaluate trainees' performance to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Maintain Training Records: Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Planning Teams: Work closely with the safety and planning teams to identify training needs and improve overall warehouse safety.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide Refresher Courses: Provide refresher courses and ongoing training for existing employees.
  • Develop and Update Training Materials: Develop and update training materials and manuals to ensure they are current and meet industry standards.
Requirements
  • Certified MHE Trainer: Certified MHE Trainer with relevant qualifications – RTITB/ITSSAR preferable.
  • Instructor Qualifications: Instructor qualifications in PPT, Reach, Counterbalance training.
  • Train The Trainer Certificate: Train The Trainer Certificate desirable.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to MHE operations.
  • Ability to Develop and Update Training Materials: Ability to develop and update training materials and manuals.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to Assess and Evaluate Employee Performance: Ability to assess and evaluate employee performance effectively.
  • Commitment to Safety and Continuous Improvement: Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: Competitive salary of £34,000 per annum.
  • Shift Pattern: Work 7 days in 14 with our 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off shift pattern working either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday.
  • Hours: 6:30am-7pm per day / 40.25 average hours per week.
