We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker/HCA to join our team at The Hospice of St Francis. As a Care Worker/HCA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients in their own homes, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver personalized care and support to patients in their own homes, promoting independence and dignity.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
- Monitor patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the care team.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Care Certificate/NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
- 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
- Current driving license and access to a car.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of and experience in care at the end of life and after death.
