Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our client's technology team. As a key member of the IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the network and server infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the network and server infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and availability.
- Provide proactive support and maintenance, system monitoring, backups, and capacity planning for on-premises, hosted, and cloud environments.
- Respond to incidents logged directly or escalated from 2nd line support teams.
- Manage operating systems, physical and virtual servers, hosting, and system security.
- Work closely with global IT teams to provide 2nd and 3rd line support as defined by the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Ensure system monitoring alerts are responded to per the KPIs defined by the Operational or Service Level agreements.
- Provide 3rd-line support for all business physical and virtual IT assets.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and experience of Linux/Unix Operating Systems (RedHat, SUSE, and Oracle).
