Bennett and Game Recruitment is a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency operating across the UK. We are working with a top 100 Accountancy Practice in Derby to find an experienced Audit Manager for their team.

Job Overview

  • The ideal candidate will oversee a portfolio of audit and non-audit clients, managing the entire process from start to finish.
  • They will supervise Audit staff on assigned projects, striving to meet targets and ensuring all work meets client expectations.
  • Fostering a collaborative team environment, they will coach and develop staff to reach their potential, aiming to meet or exceed billing and utilisation goals.
  • Working closely with other Audit Managers, they will achieve group targets through optimal staff resource allocation across the department.
  • Line management responsibility for designated Audit staff within the audit team will also be required.
  • They will manage the Sage, Xero, and other accounting services, including offering necessary guidance, support, and training.
  • Closely working with Directors, they will identify opportunities and provide valuable insights.
  • Assisting with various client-specific projects and ad-hoc advisory needs within their portfolio will also be part of their responsibilities.

Key Requirements

  • A proven experience within an Audit Manager role is essential.
  • The ideal candidate should have worked on a range of different audits and clients.
  • Great management skills, confident in supporting, coaching and developing team members, are also required.

Competitive Salary and Benefits

  • A competitive salary, industry standard for this role, would typically be between 50-60k per annum.
  • 35 days holiday, including bank holidays, is included in the package.
  • A discretionary bonus scheme, charity events, social events, sports teams, flexitime from 7:30am to 5:30pm, company sick pay & Life insurance are also offered.
