Consultant Haematologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Haematology Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Haematologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Haematology Service.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Lymphoma and will be able to provide specialist advice on all aspects of Haematology. You will participate in the clinical and laboratory Haematology Service and will have the opportunity to participate in teaching at the Medical School.
The appointee will join a well-established and cohesive team in the department of Haematology, part of the Cancer Division at University Hospitals Sussex. You will be responsible for providing clinical support to the Haematology Laboratory and will actively engage in departmental meetings, clinical governance, and teaching to the junior medical team.
The role will include provision of outpatient clinics, participation in the weekly Haematology MDT, and provision of cover and advice to the Haematology Day Case Unit. You will also be responsible for providing ward cover for inpatient Lymphoma and supporting the suspected Lymphoma pathway.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in teaching and will be able to provide evidence of an interest and commitment to teaching. You will also have a recognised teaching qualification and will be able to demonstrate evidence of participation in audit, research experience, and publications.
