About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a GP Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing administrative and clinical support to our GPs and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to GPs, including sorting clinical post, prioritizing tasks, and signposting to other healthcare professionals.
  • Extract information from clinical letters and add to patient notes.
  • Arrange appointments, referrals, tests, and follow-up appointments for patients.
  • Prepare patients for GP consultations, taking brief histories and basic readings.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks, including dipping urine, taking blood pressure, ECGs, and phlebotomy.
  • Complete basic forms and core elements of more complex forms for GP approval and signature.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining treatment procedures and providing support.
  • Work collaboratively with the GP and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations.
