About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Management Officer to join our team in the NHS England Finance and Planning Directorate. As a key member of our Central Financial Management Team, you will play a critical role in supporting innovative programmes that improve the care and experience of NHS patients or people using NHS services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Agreement of Balances process for NHSE across central & regional directorates, working closely with Business Partner Teams and NHS bodies to resolve AoB issues.
  • Update the FMIS lease accounting system on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy of data in collaboration with capital accountant and Estate colleagues.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the AoB and IFRS 16 processes, accurately preparing and analysing data from various sources.

Requirements
  • Certificate Level/Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Member or part qualified.
  • Knowledge of Agreement of Balances process and lease accounting (IFRS16) or experience with balance sheet transactions.
  • Understanding of NHS Finance and ability to support improvements to current management information and make processes more streamlined and user-friendly.
