Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at MASS Consultants. As a key member of our Digital Services Group, you will play a critical role in supporting both internal and external projects, providing network support and 3rd line support for wired and wireless network technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide network support and troubleshooting for internal and external users at all layers of the OSI model
- Offer 3rd line support for wired and wireless network technologies
- Collaborate with our IT Team Lead and small team of IT network and infrastructure engineers to deliver projects and support
- Work closely with customers to understand their network requirements and provide solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and best practices
Requirements
- Experience with Cisco IOS routing and switching
- Experience with Layer 7 firewall appliances such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Firepower
- Experience with Windows Server, network protocols such as TCP/IP, and backup technologies
- Demonstrable experience in maintaining complex network features, including GRE tunnels, cryptography, VOIP, NTP, NPS, RADIUS, and TACACS
- Windows operating system exposure and common Microsoft products such as Exchange and SQL Server
- Performance monitoring tools using WMI, SNMP, and API integrations
Desirable Skills
- OS exposure such as Linux operating system experience
- Working knowledge of the Jira Service Management ITSM tool
- Understanding of government security classifications
