Care Support Worker

Join our close-knit care team at The Fleet Care Home, nestled in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, where we provide exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 79 residents.
As a Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional care and support, promoting independence, and prioritizing their overall health and happiness every day.
Key Responsibilities:- Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, encouraging them to make positive choices and remain as independent as possible.
- Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
- Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
- Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Spread Smiles: Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
- Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
- Passion: You're genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
