Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Test and Diagnostics Technician to join our team in Bolton, Lancashire. As a Test and Diagnostics Technician, you will be responsible for the production test and diagnostics of complex electronic equipment at system and subsystem levels.

Your duties will include testing complex electronic equipment, diagnosing production test failures, and implementing corrective actions to prevent similar failures in the future.

You will also provide technical support to the manufacturing team to ensure that production meets quality standards, and you will work closely with the test engineering department to resolve technical issues and improve processes.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent planning and organisational abilities, and effective communication and analytical skills.

Requirements
  • HNC/HND (Electronics) level of qualifications or equivalent
  • Substantial level of experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacture and test
  • Good understanding of measurement and test principles, and equipment
  • An understanding of RF and microwave technology at subsystem level would be an advantage
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and analytical skills

The estimated salary for this position is £37.00 per hour (umbrella), and the contract duration is 12 months initially, with the possibility of ongoing and long-term extension.
