About the Role

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join their team as Wholetime Firefighters. As a key member of the operational firefighting and emergency response team, you will play a vital role in protecting people and property from fire and other hazards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and requests for assistance in a swift and safe manner
  • Work effectively and efficiently as a member of a disciplined team to prevent emergencies, minimize their impact, and respond effectively
  • Demonstrate the behaviours and attributes outlined in The National Firefighter Selection Personal Qualities and Attributes
  • Meet the essential criteria of the Person Specification associated with this role
Requirements
  • Live within 2 miles of Douglas Fire Station or within the Douglas town boundary
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Undergo an enhanced police check, which will be covered by the Isle of Man Government
