About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to join our team at Royal Blackburn Hospital. The successful candidate will be based on Ribble Ward, working closely with the team to assess and provide care for Psychiatric inpatients with significant Mental Health disorders.

Main Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking routine reviews, urgent assessments, and MDT and Consultation work with the ward team alongside the Ward Consultant. Involvement in and referral of acute physical health presentations to the relevant department would also be expected.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months
  • Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to this role
