About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at B&M Care Homes. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our care homes, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular fire safety, water safety, and property checks to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Perform basic home maintenance tasks, including moving furniture and equipment, to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Conduct company vehicle checks and maintenance as per company policy and guidelines.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including flower beds, borders, hanging baskets, grass cutting, and cleaning of drives and pathways.
  • Ensure low-level gutters are clean and maintain outdoor furniture and water features.
  • Take utility meter readings as requested and handle waste disposal in compliance with health & safety and infection control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hold a full driving license.
  • Provide your own basic tools.
