About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at B&M Care Homes. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular fire safety, water safety, and property checks to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Perform basic home maintenance tasks, including moving furniture and equipment, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Conduct company vehicle checks and maintenance as per company policy and guidelines to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including flower beds, borders, hanging baskets, grass, drives, and pathways, and handle gritting and snow clearance to ensure a safe and accessible environment.
  • Maintain outdoor furniture, water features, and ensure low-level gutters are clean to prevent damage and ensure a pleasant living environment.
  • Take utility meter readings as requested and handle waste disposal in compliance with health & safety and infection control procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a full driving license.
  • Provide your own basic tools.
