About the Role:

At Loom Talent, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ocean Freight Logistics Manager to join our logistics and supply chain team. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of ocean freight operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across global markets. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and carriers to optimize shipping routes, manage freight costs, and ensure compliance with international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end ocean freight operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of shipments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers to achieve cost savings and service level agreements.
  • Monitor and analyze shipping performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution, to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce transit times, and minimize costs across the supply chain.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on freight performance, costs, and market trends to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in ocean freight management, with a strong understanding of global shipping markets and logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts with carriers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems is a plus.
