Specifications Writer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Specifications Technologist to join our team at Premier Foods. As a Specifications Technologist, you will play a crucial role in writing and maintaining finished product specifications for products supplied and produced by and on behalf of Premier Foods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate, validate, and accurately input data into Retailer and Premier Foods specification databases.
- Generate pack copy data and review artwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure provision of data is conducted in a timely manner and to the correct standard.
- Maintain specifications and data to ensure all information is correct and up-to-date.
- Liaise with Suppliers, Technical, Procurement, Regulatory, R&D, Technical Account Managers, Marketing, and Project Managers to ensure products are compliant and correct data is used.
- Answer enquiries relating to products, including allergen, ingredient, and nutritional information.
- Work with manufacturing sites to ensure product and process knowledge is maintained.
- Provide technical information for ingredient specifications, including allergen, country of origin, shelf life, and nutritional information.
- Provision of reports and completion of questionnaires and databases as required.
- Maintain foodservice portals/spreadsheets and other systems as required.
- Maintain a workload management tool for own area to ensure effective KPI reporting.
- Cover/support/help in other areas within the team as required.
- Identify own development plan with support from Manager, agree required training and time plan for achieving requirements.
