Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Early Music Specialist to join the Association of British Choral Directors. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to lead our choir in delivering high-quality performances of Renaissance music.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the singing abilities of our members, ensuring that they achieve a high standard of performance while maintaining a pleasurable and rewarding experience. They will also be expected to share their knowledge and passion for Renaissance music with the team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training program to enhance the singing skills of our members
  • Collaborate with the existing leadership team to ensure a cohesive and harmonious rehearsal environment
  • Contribute to the development of innovative programming ideas for future concerts and events
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in early music, including vocal technique, repertoire, and historical context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Experience in leading rehearsals and conducting choirs
