About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at CrossReach. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and care to older people in our care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users
  • Assist with personal and intimate care, promoting dignity and respect at all times
  • Liaise with health professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Support mental and physical activities, promoting independence and well-being
  • Maintain a high standard of personal environment and effects, ensuring a safe and comfortable living space
  • Monitor nutritional needs and provide support with meal planning and preparation
  • Answer emergency calls and respond to service user needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and policies
  • Work on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings, to ensure 24/7 care coverage
Requirements
  • Hold or be working towards an SVQ 3 in Social Care
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • A respect for Christian worship and the ability to facilitate service users' attendance at worship
  • Ability to work within CrossReach's Christian ethos and policies
  • Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
