Job Title: SEN Support Assistant - Psychology Graduate

We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEN Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience working with students with special educational needs.

About the Role:

As a SEN Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs. Your role will involve assisting students with their learning, providing emotional support, and helping to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with their learning, including providing individualized support and accommodations as needed
  • Provide emotional support to students, including helping to manage behaviors and develop coping strategies
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Help to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, including supervising students during breaks and transitions
Requirements:
  • Recent graduate in Psychology or related field
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (advantageous but not required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
