About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team at Aspris. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and care to our young people with autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young people, helping them to develop essential life skills and promoting their independence. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to create a supportive and inclusive environment that meets the unique needs of each young person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and care to our young people, helping them to develop essential life skills and promoting their independence.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to create a supportive and inclusive environment that meets the unique needs of each young person.
  • Assist with day-to-day activities, such as getting washed, dressed, and out to school.
  • Support our young people with their personal care needs, including toileting, bathing, and dressing.
  • Encourage and support our young people to participate in activities and hobbies that promote their physical and emotional well-being.

Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence is required due to the location of the service.
  • Experience working with children or young people with autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • A willingness to work flexibly and participate in on-call shifts is required.

Please note that the advertised salary is calculated on the rate of £12.40 per hour, plus an average of 7 x sleep ins per month at the rate of £55 per sleep in.
