About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Propel. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-traffic applications using TypeScript and cloud-based technologies.
  • Develop solutions using microservices, messaging architectures, and protocols such as TCP, ZeroMQ, Pub/Sub, WebSockets, and Protobufs.
  • Work with our database team to design and implement efficient database solutions using mySQL.
  • Collaborate with our DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of our applications using containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud (AWS) tools.
  • Contribute to the development of our company's cloud strategy and architecture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building high-traffic applications using TypeScript and cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices, messaging architectures, and protocols.
  • Experience with mySQL and database design.
  • Proficiency in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud (AWS) tools.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth financial services business is a plus.
