About the Position: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join our theatre team at New Hall Hospital in Salisbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons and anaesthetists during operations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring they are properly positioned and equipped with necessary medical devices.
  • Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during operations by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clean and safe operating environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.


What You'll Need:
  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
  • Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament repair.
  • Ophthalmology experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) is also desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
