Engage 2 is working with a special school in Leeds, West Yorkshire, to find a dedicated Youth Support Worker to join their team.
This role involves working with learners who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges, as well as those with Autism. The school prioritizes the well-being and success of its students, and we're looking for a passionate and driven individual to contribute to this mission.
The Behaviour Team plays a vital role in the students' development, and your efforts will have a significant impact on their progress. You'll provide support to students who struggle to engage in education or have mild learning difficulties in Key Stages 1, 2, 3, and 4.
You'll work one-to-one or in small groups, communicating effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive pastoral support. Previous experience working with young people facing barriers to learning is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in a small class setting to enhance their educational experience
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Contribute to the Behaviour Team's efforts to promote student success
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
