About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology IT Systems Manager to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and other radiology IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and advice to ensure the provision of a professional, effective, and efficient radiography service.
  • Monitor the quality of images and initiate action to solve problems.
  • Develop, review, and communicate an accurate PACS disaster/recovery plan.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of all PACS-related computer equipment and network addresses.
  • Ensure clinical and information governance issues are adhered to.
  • Arrange and ensure regular servicing of PACS equipment and liaise with the IT Department on PACS/RIS/VR/Tele-radiology upgrades, new equipment, or service requirements.
  • Assist with fault finding and manage repair/replacement of failed equipment.
  • Provide regular reports/stats for Head of Imaging/Clinical Director and senior management as required for departmental performance monitoring.
Requirements
  • BSc or equivalent in radiography or degree-level IT qualification.
  • Working knowledge of PACS/Medical IT systems.
  • PACS training.
  • Experience of working in the NHS and radiology.
