About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. As a key member of our OT team, you will work closely with qualified OT staff to deliver a high-quality clinical service on the ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend daily unit huddles and planning meetings with the OT team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Work alongside education staff to support young people in their therapeutic goals.
  • Organize and lead therapeutic activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapeutic interventions and progress.
  • Develop strong relationships with community resources to support patient engagement and discharge planning.
Person Specification
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with young people or adults with mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge of College of OT standards of practice and clinical skills to deliver therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent time management, reliability, and punctuality.
