Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Learning Disabilities Psychologist to join our team at Gateway Recovery Centre in Widnes, Cheshire. As a Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the psychology department in providing a range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, EMDR, and DBT
  • Provide guidance, support, and supervision to junior psychologists and assistants
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance staff safety and risk management
  • Participate in the recruitment of junior psychology staff
Requirements
  • Doctorate level qualification in applied psychology
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Competency in cognitive functioning/management tools and formulation
