Job Overview

This full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 (TBC), requires a float Ward Clerk to provide administrative governance on various inpatient wards.

About the Role

As a Ward Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for patients and relatives, providing a friendly and welcoming demeanor while maintaining calmness under pressure. Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the patient's first point of contact on the ward(s)
  • Greeting and signposting patients and relatives
  • Processing patients using CareFlow
  • Liaising with colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely stay with the hospital
  • Sending out patient information

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high standards of patient care by upholding the Trust's core values.

Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional development, a dynamic and supportive work environment, and the chance to contribute to delivering excellent patient care in a leading NHS trust.
