Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Technician to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electronic and electrical systems, including traffic control systems, SCADA systems, and communication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electronic and electrical systems, including traffic control systems, SCADA systems, and communication systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electronic and electrical issues, using advanced testing and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to design and implement new electronic and electrical systems, and to upgrade existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and inventory management.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and other team members.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics maintenance and repair, including experience with traffic control systems, SCADA systems, and communication systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical principles, including circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various work sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in fire alarm systems.
  • FCC Maintenance Technician certification.
  • Experience with inventory management and work order systems.
