Unlock Your Potential as a Senior Financial Analyst

Biffa Waste Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial and divisional management teams, you will be responsible for producing robust, reliable, and accurate financial information for the Scottish region.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for the Regional General Manager and regional team for all financial matters.
  • Ensure Biffa's financial controls and processes are followed, maintaining the highest standards of financial governance.
  • Review and analyze monthly account reconciliations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and recommend financial business cases for investment, capital expenditure, and change programs to drive cash flow and profit improvement.
  • Collaborate with the RGM to identify and implement profit improvement suggestions for the region.
  • Ensure timely and accurate regional period-end close and submissions.
  • Prepare regional re-forecasting and budgeting to inform business decisions.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of issues arising on depot and transfer station P&Ls.
  • Maintain key performance data to inform business strategy.

Our Requirements

  • Hold a recognized accountancy qualification or be studying towards one.
  • Have management accounting experience, preferably in the service, logistics, or waste industries.
  • Be proficient in advanced Excel with excellent analytical skills.
  • Have some experience with Power BI and project management.
