Key Responsibilities

This position involves:

  • Obtaining patient consent for blood sample collection
  • Performing venepunctures in accordance with established protocols
  • Maintaining accurate patient records on our clinical IT system
  • Correctly labelling, packaging, and storing samples
  • Effective use of the specimen log to resolve discrepancies
  • Sending samples to the laboratory in a timely manner
  • Liaising with NHS Trust laboratory staff
  • Collaborating with the nursing team for patient-related matters
Person Specification

Essential qualifications include experience working in a healthcare setting, competence in EMIS use, and primary care experience. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is also required for this position.
