Opportunity for a Gastroenterology Specialist
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant in Gastroenterology with a subspecialist interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will be a competent clinician and endoscopist with a CCT in gastroenterology and general medicine, and experience working within the NHS. They will also demonstrate interest in managing complex Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
The Trust has a dynamic IBD team with 4 experienced IBD nurse specialists, regular MDT meetings, and close links to our colorectal colleagues. The post holder will be expected to be able to travel to all 3 Trust hospital Sites.
The successful applicant must possess the full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex Inflammatory Bowel Disease cases
- Work collaboratively with the IBD team and other colleagues
- Travel to all 3 Trust hospital Sites
Requirements:
- CCT in gastroenterology and general medicine
- Experience working within the NHS
- Interest in managing complex Inflammatory Bowel Disease
