Consultant in Gastroenterology with a Subspecialist Interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant in Gastroenterology to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a CCT in Gastroenterology and General Medicine, with a strong interest in managing complex Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

About the Role

This is a substantive, full-time (10 PAs) Consultant position, offering a dynamic and supportive working environment. The post holder will join a team of twelve gastroenterologists, working together to provide high-quality patient care.

About the Team

Our team is committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes, with a strong focus on education and research. We have a dynamic IBD team with 4 experienced IBD nurse specialists, regular MDT meetings, and close links to our colorectal colleagues.

Requirements
  • Competent clinician and endoscopist with a CCT in Gastroenterology and General Medicine
  • Experience working within the NHS
  • Strong interest in managing complex Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • Ability to travel to all 3 Trust hospital sites
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
