Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mental health services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological care to patients admitted to our acute mental health wards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Work independently to develop and implement treatment plans, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct protocol-based psychological assessments, including neuropsychological tests and semi-structured interviews.
- Assist in the formulation and delivery of patient care, including the psychological treatment and management of patient problems.
- Contribute to the coordination and running of therapeutic groups, as required.
- Prepare psychology reports, as necessary.
- Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of psychological theory and practice, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
