The Daphne Jackson Research Technical Professional Fellowship is a two-year part-time opportunity for a highly skilled professional to return to work in physics or engineering, specifically in the field of Time & Frequency at NPL's Teddington Site.

We seek an individual with a passion for experimental physics and a desire to re-enter the science and research community. Our team is expanding its portfolio of projects involving complex systems, including optical frequency combs, optical atomic clocks, ultrastable lasers, and fibre link network infrastructure.

As a Research Specialist in our Time and Frequency Department, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of these systems, pushing the boundaries of measurement accuracy and stability. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be invaluable in this role.
